In 2011 and 2012 Novia celebrates its 50th anniversary
In September 1961 Copenhagen Airport Charter Handling was established to assist the growing aviation charter market. In 1986 the name was changed to Copenhagen Air Services (CAS) and in 1989 CAS got a concession to perform ground handling for scheduled airlines. From there the company grew rapidly and entered the Swedish market in 1998 through the merger with LFV Handling and again changed name - now to NOVIA. The Swedish company was sold in 2008 and Novia has concentrated on its ground handling business in Copenhagen.
In 2011 Novia was acquired by the Swedish Aviator Group and we are now part of a major Scandinavian Ground Handling family, consisting of Norport and Røros in Norway and Nordic Aero in Sweden.
Ever since the 1960s we have assisted hundreds of airlines, gaining vast experience and knowledge. Today we employ around 800 dedicated professionals in Copenhagen - serving our customers around the clock.
In 2011 we celebrate our 50th year anniversary with our staff and plan for the next 50 years. If you want to see what we have been doing, please select the gallery where you will find a selection of photos through 50 years of service.
